TCFWC - In-Home Therapy Clinician (Independent Contractor)
Description

The Child and Family Wellness Center (TCFWC) and Unlimited Behavioral Health Services (UBHS) provide culturally responsive, community-based behavioral health services to children, youth, adults, and families across Massachusetts. Services include In-Home Therapy (IHT), Therapeutic Mentoring (TM), Therapeutic Training & Support (TT&S), and outpatient mental health counseling.

Our work is grounded in culturally informed, strengths-based, and trauma-responsive practices designed to promote healing, resilience, and long-term well-being.


TCFWC and UBHS are in search of In-Home Therapy Clinicians as Independent Contractors to provide outpatient behavioral health services, including individual, family, and group therapy, to youth, adults, and families to our clients in Leominster, MA. 

In-Home Therapy services focus on:

  • Strengthen family functioning
  • Stabilize youth behavior
  • Reduce risk of out-of-home placement
  • Support long-term resilience and well-being


In-Home Therapy Clinicians use independent clinical judgment in assessment, treatment planning, and therapeutic intervention while adhering to ethical standards, payer requirements, and organizational documentation expectations.

Services are delivered in home-based and community-based settings as determined by the In-Home Clinicians in collaboration with the family and care team. Locations may include multiple TCFWC and UBHS sites across Massachusetts. Clinicians are expected to maintain a minimum caseload of three clients.


Family-Centered Clinical Intervention

  • Provide intensive, home-based therapeutic services to youth and families.
  • Strengthen parenting capacity, family communication, problem-solving, and emotional regulation.
  • Address behavioral, emotional, and relational factors contributing to family stress or risk of placement.

Clinical Assessment & Treatment Planning

  • Conduct comprehensive clinical assessments informed by developmental, cultural, and family systems perspectives.
  • Develop, implement, and adjust individualized treatment plans based on identified needs, strengths, and goals.
  • Utilize evidence-based and evidence-informed interventions consistent with the IHT service model.

Youth Stabilization & Skill Development

  • Support youth in managing emotional symptoms and behavioral challenges across home, school, and community environments.
  • Promote coping strategies, adaptive functioning, and emotional resilience.

Care Coordination & Professional Collaboration

  • Participate in service-related meetings (e.g., care planning or multidisciplinary meetings) as clinically indicated.
  • Coordinate with other providers and systems involved in the youth’s care to support continuity and effectiveness of services.

Documentation & Compliance

  • Complete required clinical documentation accurately and timely using the designated electronic health record (EHR).
  • Maintain documentation in accordance with CBHI standards, payer requirements, and applicable laws and regulations.
Requirements
  • Master’s degree in Social Work, Psychology, Counseling, or a related mental health field.
  • Independent clinical licensure in Massachusetts, including one or more of the following:
  • LICSW
  • LCSW
  • LMHC
  • LMFT
  • LADC I
  • Experience providing clinical services to youth and families in community-based or home-based settings.
  • Strong assessment, treatment planning, and intervention skills.
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
  • Comfort with technology-based documentation systems.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience providing CBHI In-Home Therapy services.
  • Familiarity with trauma-informed and family systems approaches.
  • Experience collaborating with schools, child-serving agencies, and multidisciplinary teams.
  • Bilingual Spanish/English proficiency.

Engagement Terms

  • Classification: Independent Contractor (1099)
  • Compensation: Up to $40 - $65 per billable service units, per Contract agreement
  • Hours: No guaranteed minimum hours 
  • Benefits: Contractors are not eligible for employee benefits
  • Scheduling: Flexible; determined by the Contractor in collaboration with families
