Position Overview:
Matrix Home Fitness and Massage Chair Headquarters are industry leaders in premium home fitness and wellness equipment. We design high-performance, high-conversion ecommerce experiences for customers investing in their health—often at the $2k–$10k+ price point.
We’re looking for a Shopify Full-Stack Developer who can own the technical side of these platforms—from performance and UX optimization to custom features and system integrations.
This role is for someone who cares deeply about clean code, fast sites, scalable architecture, and measurable business impact.
Responsibilities:
UX/UI Design & Development:
· Premium product detail pages for high-ticket equipment
· Custom comparison and filtering systems
· Advanced merchandising and bundling tools
· Performance tuning for large catalogs
· AI-powered shopping and support features
· Custom checkout and post-purchase flows
· Internal tools and automations
· Implementing SEO/CRO best practices
· QA testing of ecommerce website
· Image and asset resizing and compression for optimized page speed/performance
Education:
· Minimum of four-year degree computer science, information systems or related field OR equivalent experience
Experience:
· 3+ years of Shopify development experience
· Strong proficiency in Shopify Liquid, JavaScreipt (ES6+), HTML5, CSS3, SCSS
· Experience building custom Shopify themes (not just modifying templates)
· Experience with Financing integrations (Affirm, Klarna, etc.)
· Experience with Complex product data structures
· Familiar with Web performance optimization
· SEO and structured data
· Accessibility (WCAG) best practices
· GA4, GTM, and event tracking
· CRO and experimentation experience – a plus
· Heap.io analytics tracking – a plus
