Sangre de Cristo Community Care is looking for a Full Time Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant to join our dynamic team and serve patients in Pueblo and Canon City, Colorado. Serving a variety of patients across Southern Colorado, including pediatric patients and those with developmental disabilities, Sangre de Cristo Community Care is known for delivering exceptional high-quality compassionate care with a strong team of local health care professionals, including skilled nursing, physical therapy and occupational therapy, providing a seamless opportunity for high-quality hospice, palliative care, and home health services to residents in southern Colorado.

Responsibilities:

· Provides therapy under the treatment plans and supervision of the licensed Occupational Therapist.

· Completes visit notes accurately and timely.

· Reviews patient’s injury/diagnosis and takes necessary precautions for observing indications and contraindications.

· Keeps the supervising therapist informed of patient status, problem areas, progress, etc.,


Qualifications:

· Must be at least 21 years of age.

· Successful completion of an Associate Degree from an Occupational Therapy Assistant accredited program and shall at minimum possess a current certification from the National Board for Certification of Occupational Therapy (NBOT).

· Prefer experience with physical rehabilitation either through educational affiliations or prior work associations.

· Must be licensed or eligible for licensure in Colorado.

· Must have a valid non-restricted driver’s license.

· Flexibility and availability to work a weekend schedule if needed.

· Two years of appropriate experience as a COTA.

· Willing to visit patients throughout Otero and surrounding counties.
