As a Staff Accountant, you’ll support day-to-day accounting operations by assisting with accounts payable and receivable, reconciliations, journal entries, and other financial transactions. You will also help ensure accurate, timely financial reporting, maintain organized records, and support month-end and year-end close processes. This role works closely with cross-functional teams to support efficient, compliant, and reliable financial operations across the organization.

What you’ll do
- Perform monthly, quarterly, and year-end close activities to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting
- Reconcile bank and credit card statements, ensuring all transactions are properly recorded
- Prepare and record journal entries, accruals, and adjustments
- Assist with accounts payable, accounts receivable, and expense reporting
- Support the creation of financial and operational reports for executive leadership, operational teams, and investors
- Maintain accurate documentation and provide support for audit requests
- Ensure compliance with GAAP and company accounting policies
- Contribute to process improvement initiatives to enhance reporting accuracy and financial tracking
- Assist with company compliance efforts, including regulatory filings and lender reporting
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- 3+ years of relevant accounting experience
- Solid understanding of GAAP
- Experience with ERP or accounting systems (e.g., NetSuite, QuickBooks, Sage)
- Strong Excel skills, including formulas and basic data analysis
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to follow standard procedures
- Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize multiple tasks to meet deadlines
- Ability to communicate effectively with individuals at all levels of the organization
- Ability to handle confidential financial information with discretion
Preferred Qualifications
- Advanced Excel skills, including pivot tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP
- Experience preparing financial reports for executive leadership or investors
- Familiarity with process improvement initiatives within accounting or finance functions
- Experience supporting audits and regulatory compliance activities
