Human Resource Specialist

Spatial Front, Inc. (SFI), a two-time USAToday Top Workplaces awardee and Washington Top Workplaces honoree, is seeking a Human Resource Specialist to support our growing team. The Human Resource Specialist will be responsible for a wide range of HR functions, including employee relations, benefits administration, compliance, and HR operations. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of HR best practices and a passion for supporting employees throughout their employment lifecycle. 


 Key Responsibilities: 

  • Administer employee benefits programs, including health insurance, retirement plans, and leave policies.
  • Manage employee onboarding and offboarding processes.
  • Maintain employee records and ensure compliance with all applicable laws and regulations.
  • Assist with the development and implementation of HR policies and procedures.
  • Provide guidance and support to employees and managers on HR-related matters.
  • Coordinate employee training and development programs.
  • Support recruitment and talent acquisition efforts.
  • Assist with performance management processes.
  • Handle employee relations issues and conduct investigations as needed.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field. May substitute four (4) years of equivalent professional experience in lieu of a degree.
  • 3+ years of experience in a human resources role
  • Strong knowledge of federal and state employment laws and regulations
  • Experience with HRIS systems and other HR technologies
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain confidentiality
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen

Desired Skills:

  • Professional HR certification (PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP, or SHRM-SCP).
  • Experience in a government contracting environment.
  • Knowledge of federal contractor compliance requirements (OFCCP, E-Verify, etc.).
