Description

We are seeking several professionals with experience as a Doctrine and Training Developer in the  Irregular Warfare (IW) and/or Counter Threat Finance (CTF) areas of expertise supporting the Special Operations Center of Excellence (SOCoE).  This role supports the development, revision, and instruction of IW and CTF doctrine and training products, ensuring integration and synchronization across Service, Joint, interagency, and allied operational forces.  The position requires comprehensive research and analysis to produce authoritative doctrine and training materials that define approved processes, procedures, and techniques to identify, disrupt, and mitigate adversary financial networks, resources, and operational capabilities in support of Irregular Warfare and Special Operations missions. 

  

  • Conduct research and analysis to create and/or revise doctrine and training products that accurately articulate current unit missions, core and supporting activities, interagency roles, force structure, and capabilities in compliance with doctrine and regulatory compliance.
  • Provide doctrine or training product development by performing research, analysis, and documentation to adequately support the Army conventional and Special Operations Forces.
  • Develop and/or revise IW and CTF doctrine and training products that integrate Army conventional and Special Operations Forces mission functions that utilizes the Training Development Capabilities (TDC) system and Army Training Management System (ATMS) Development Tool.
  • Maintain knowledge, proficiency, and currency in web-based platforms and tools used to manage development and approval of individual and collective training products.
  • Perform research, analysis, and data management updates as needed in support of the SOCoE.
  • Coordinate/integrate the command's training requirements into a resource model that supports the Planning, Programming, Budget, and Execution (PPBE) process.
  • Coordinate, interface, and synchronize with Joint and Army staff, interagency, proponent Centers of excellence (CoE), TRADOC, and Operational Forces to develop Counter Threat Finance doctrine and training products inclusive of core and enabling activities.
  • Conduct functional analysis of management and training challenges and constraints.
  • Use mathematical equations to support viable solutions and impacts of alternative courses of action.
  • Evaluate Combined, Joint, multi-service, Army, and ARSOF doctrine, tactics, techniques, and procedures to identify current collective tasks or develop new collective tasks in support of changing missions.
  • Develop and/or evaluate collective training products to ensure compliance with Army, TRADOC, USASOC, and SOCOM guidance.
  • Assist other training developers in the creation of training products.
  • Develop and/or revise Collective Tasks in accordance with Regulation and Standard Operating Procedures (SOP).
  • Develops Individual Tasks in accordance with Regulation and SOPs, as required.
  • Review tasks according to the Collective Task Review Checklist.
  • Coordinate with the Combined Arms Training Strategies (CATS) point of contact to ensure accuracy.


Requirements

REQUIRED:

  • SECRET security clearance
  • Graduate of a Doctrine Developer Course, or TRADOC recognized equivalent course
  • Prior assignment as an active duty member in at least on of the following components:  Special Forces, 75th Ranger Regiment, Psychological Operations, or Civil Affairs).
  • Minimum of two (2) years of practical application and experience within the last 5 years as an Army trained doctrine or training developer or, Combined Arms Training Strategy (CATS) developer utilizing the Army approved software programs TDC and ATS.

DESIRED: 

  • Master’s degree or Bachelor’s degree with relevant experience.
  • Demonstrated experience collecting, analyzing, and disseminating lessons learned and best practices related to emerging threat environments, trends, TTPs, and effective countermeasures.
  • Working knowledge of readiness resource requirements and Collective Training Events (CTEs) across Combat Training Centers (CTCs), regional collective training centers, Mobilization Force Generation Installations, major mission commands, and home-station training events.
  • Experience assessing unit readiness and preparing forces for deployment into conflict or contingency environments, including planning and synchronizing intelligence collection, analysis, and production in support of training and operations.
  • Understanding of emerging and non-traditional concepts shaping contemporary Joint and multinational warfare.
  • Familiarity with the Army Training Management Program and large-scale, enterprise-level training initiatives.
  • Experience integrating intelligence, analysis, technology, interagency collaboration, and lessons learned to support effective threat-focused training dissemination.

Pay Range: 85 - 145K
