JOB OVERVIEW

Serve cafe beverages, pastries, and smoothies to members and guests of Boar's Head Resort.


ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

  1. Take guest orders using IG system and guest name.
  2. Manage order process at the cafe counter.
  3. Complete basic surface level cleaning as well as other deep cleaning projects within the Kitchen, dining area and storage areas.
  4. Occasionally put together large orders at the request of the Sports Club Facilities, Event Orders/Cash bars, and Banquets.
  5. Complete opening/closing procedures such as picking up/dropping off money from the Front Desk at the Inn, counting drawer, opening/closing counts, wiping down tables, countertops, etc.
  6. Keep dining area stocked with condiments and snacks.
  7. Remove trash on a daily basis.
  8. Sweep/mop within the service area and dining room.
  9. Learn all recipes and gather knowledge on classic cafe beverage-making skills.
  10. Maintain and complete an inventory stock list at all times.
  11. Handle money properly at both The Sports Club Cafe and Front Desk.
  12. Contribute to overall resort team effort by completing additional duties as assigned.

Requirements

Essential

  1. Ability to multi-task.
  2. Quick learner.
  3. Ability to work well with others.
  4. Ability to handle a fast paced environment.
  5. At least 18 years old.
  6. Ability to work evenings, weekends and holidays as required.
  7. Polite, friendly demeanor.
  8. Neat, clean appearance.
  9. Willing to follow rules for sanitary food service.
  10. Ability to work quickly and efficiently to provide prompt, effective service.


Desirable

  1. Previous Food & Beverage customer service experience.
  2. Flexible availability and eager to provide coverage, when needed.
  3. Ability to operate a POS system to enter orders and prepare checks.
  4. 21+; ability to serve guests alcoholic beverages


SAFETY RESPONSIBILITIES

All employees must learn and comply with all Resort safety rules; must use appropriate safety equipment at all times; must immediately report all unsafe conditions to supervisors; must be familiar with all safety features or equipment, machinery or materials encompassed by job duties; and must check with supervisor if there is a question as to the safe procedure to be used for any job function.
