The Opportunity  

As a Global Senior Accountant, you will support a complex, 23 entity international structure and will own critical close responsibilities, including intercompany accounting, eliminations, and consolidated reporting support. The position will also play an active role in purchase accounting and acquisition integration initiatives. You will also strengthen the backbone of our global close and reporting function in a PE-backed, performance driven environment. 

This is a hands on, impact driven role and not a transactional accounting position. The ideal candidate is a proven operator who can drive issues to resolution, elevate close discipline, and contribute to building a scalable, best in class accounting function as the business continues to grow.


Responsibilities 

  • Own and execute key month-end close activities across multiple entities, ensuring completeness, accuracy, and on-time delivery.
  • Prepare and post journal entries (accruals, prepaids, amortization, reclasses, reserves, and other close entries).
  • Deliver high-quality balance sheet reconciliations with audit-ready support, clear tie-outs, and timely resolution of reconciling items.
  • Maintain and improve supporting schedules and rollforwards.
  • Support consolidated close by preparing consolidation schedules, rollforwards, and reporting tie-outs.
  • Prepare and post top-side entries and consolidation adjustments as needed.
  • Support consolidated financial statement preparation and variance explanations.
  • Own intercompany accounting processes including intercompany AR/AP, recharges, and cross-entity billings.
  • Resolve intercompany mismatches, root causes, and recurring errors.
  • Prepare intercompany elimination entries (including balance sheet and P&L eliminations).
  • Drive clean, repeatable intercompany close procedures and settlement cadence.
  • Support purchase accounting (ASC 805) close entries and schedules (intangible amortization, goodwill/intangibles roll forward support, acquisition-related balance sheet alignment).
  • Assist with onboarding newly acquired entities into reporting structure, including mapping and close process alignment.
  • Maintain documentation required for audit and lender reporting.
  • Support external audit requests with clear, complete documentation and timely responses.
  • Strengthen close controls, documentation, and internal discipline in a PE-backed environment.
  • Identify opportunities to streamline processes, reduce manual work, and improve close speed and accuracy.
  • Additional ad-hoc reporting or department backup as assigned by the Global 
Requirements

Minimum Qualifications 

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field 
  • Five years of progressive accounting experience 
  • Experience in consolidations with foreign entities 

Preferred Qualifications 

  • CPA or CPA eligible 
  • Experience in PE-backed or high growth environment
  • ERP experience (Infor, NetSuite / SAP / Oracle / Dynamics or similar) 
  • Close tools (BlackLine / FloQast) or similar 
  • Advanced Excel proficiency, including pivots, lookups, and complex formulas.


Additional Information 

  • This position’s work mode is fully onsite. The employee will report to Quantum Design headquarters in San Diego, CA.

Salary Description
$83,750.00 - $120,600.00
