The Senior Task Order Manager (Project Manager) provides oversight, coordination, and management support for federal task order activities. This role ensures program objectives are met, deliverables are completed on time and within scope, and all work complies with Department of Homeland Security (DHS) and U.S. Coast Guard (USCG) requirements, policies, and standards. The position supports operational excellence while handling sensitive, unclassified information in accordance with federal privacy and security regulations.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and oversee task order activities to ensure alignment with contract requirements, timelines, and performance objectives.
- Provide program and project management support, including planning, coordination, tracking, and reporting of task order deliverables.
- Review, analyze, and process business intelligence related to applicants, employees, and/or contractors in compliance with applicable policies.
- Coordinate with government stakeholders, internal leadership, and cross-functional teams to support mission objectives.
- Ensure compliance with DHS and USCG suitability requirements, security protocols, and rules of behavior for handling sensitive information.
- Monitor program risks, issues, and dependencies and recommend mitigation strategies as needed.
- Support meetings, briefings, and status updates with customers and internal leadership.
- Maintain documentation and records in accordance with federal and organizational standards.
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in business or a related field, or an approved equivalent experience path.
Experience:
- Minimum of 3 years of program or project management experience.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience reviewing and processing business intelligence related to applicants, employees, and/or contractors, or an approved equivalent experience path.
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior experience supporting DHS, USCG, or other federal civilian agencies.
- Familiarity with federal task order management and compliance-driven environments.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, including experience briefing leadership.
Eligibility & Compliance:
- Ability to obtain and maintain DHS/USCG suitability and access to sensitive, unclassified information, including Privacy Act–protected data.
- Must complete all required DHS security and privacy training and comply with rules of behavior.
Work Environment
- Location: Washington, DC (Hybrid/Remote may be permitted with in-person meetings as required)
- Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM ET (excluding Federal holidays)
