The Opportunity

This isn't just an administrative role; it's a multi part role for a builder.  Reporting directly to the CEO, you will own the entire employee lifecycle, splitting your impact between Talent Management & Acquisition (60%) and HR Operations & Compliance (40%).  You will be the architect of our employee engagement, ensuring our remote team feels connected.

Key Responsibilities

Strategy & Talent Development (60%)

  • Talent Acquisition: Own the full-cycle recruitment process. You’ll go beyond the ATS to source agency talent, ensuring every new hire is a "culture-add."
    • Additionally, sourcing and management of outside recruiting resources for select roles 
  • Performance & Coaching: Act as a trusted advisor to leadership and a coach to our staff. You’ll facilitate a meaningful review process that focuses on growth rather than just checkboxes.
  • Employee Experience: From "Day 1" onboarding to the exit interview, you’ll ensure every transition is seamless and insightful. You’ll consult with the broader leadership team to ensure onboarding creates connection to our team and culture, and a path towards immediate impact. 
  • Culture & Engagement: Translate pulse surveys into action. You’ll design initiatives that keep our remote culture vibrant and aligned with our core values.
  • Data Storytelling: Maintain the HR dashboard and prepare "Board-ready" insights on retention, headcount, and organizational health.

HR Operations & Compliance (40%)

  • Payroll & Comp: Oversee semi-monthly payroll and lead the annual salary benchmarking and increase cycles.
  • Benefits Leadership: Direct our benefits strategy, including open enrollment, 401(k) management (ERISA filings), and broker relations.
  • Compliance & Risk: Keep the "house in order" by managing state/federal filings and ensuring we stay ahead of FLSA, FMLA, and EEO requirements.
  • Supply Finance with reports as needed for internal use and Audit
  • Training Admin: Orchestrate mandatory compliance and training programs that resonate with the team.

Who You Are

  • The Balanced Pro: You have 5+ years of progressive HR experience, ideally within an agency, media, or professional services environment.
  • Certified & Educated: You hold a Bachelor’s degree; a SHRM-CP/SHRM-SCP or PHR/SPHR is highly preferred.
  • Tech-Savvy: You’re a pro with HRIS platforms (Paylocity experience is a gold star) and can build a compelling narrative in Excel and PowerPoint.
  • The "No Task Too Small" Strategist: You can talk high-level retention strategy with the CEO at 10:00 AM and dive into payroll troubleshooting at 10:30 AM without missing a beat.
