What This Internship Offers
As a Summer Design Intern, you will work alongside our project teams and gain hands-on experience in practice. You will be part of a collaborative studio culture that values curiosity, craft, and impact.
You may:
- Support project teams with sketches, renderings, and 3D modeling
- Assist with research on codes, materials, and building systems
- Help prepare client presentations and design review materials
- Participate in site visits and documentation of existing conditions
- Learn how design decisions connect to community voice and environmental responsibility
This is a 10-week, full-time, temporary position (40 hours per week), anticipated June through August 2026.
Requirements
Who You Are
- A currently enrolled in an accredited architecture or interior design program; interested in how design decisions impact building occupants, communities, and environmental systems
- A lover of learning; excited to continue building foundational design and technical skills, actively seeks feedback, and is eager to develop a professional design voice
A naturally curious thinker; asks thoughtful questions, explores ideas openly, and contributes to shared goals while learning how projects move forward
We welcome students who bring diverse lived experiences and perspectives. Participation in programs such as ACE Mentor Program, NOMAS, or similar initiatives is encouraged but not required.
Compensation & Schedule
- $27.50 per hour
- Full-time, Monday through Friday
- Paid holidays during the internship period include Juneteenth and Independence Day
- This is a temporary, non-exempt position that is not benefits-eligible and accrues paid sick time in accordance with Oregon law.
