PacAero is looking for a Plating Utility Technician to join our manufacturing team in Agawam, MA. In this hands-on role, you’ll support multiple plating operations used in the production of high-precision components for critical aerospace applications.
We’re looking for someone who takes pride in their work, pays attention to the details, and wants to build their skills in a specialized manufacturing environment. Plating experience is preferred, but we’re also open to candidates with relevant manufacturing experience and a strong willingness to learn.

What You’ll Do
As a Plating Utility Technician, you’ll support and train across multiple plating operations, including blasting, degreasing, chem film and other plating processes. You’ll work hands-on with parts throughout the process while learning the procedures, quality requirements and safe chemical-handling practices required within the department.
You’ll work closely with the Plating team to keep production moving safely and efficiently while maintaining the quality our customers expect.
What We’re Looking For
Experience in electroplating, metal finishing, surface treatment or a similar manufacturing environment is preferred, but it isn’t required. We’re also interested in candidates with a strong manufacturing foundation who are comfortable working around chemicals, following detailed processes and learning new technical skills.

Schedule: Full-time | Day Shift | Onsite in Agawam, MA | Monday–Friday
As part of a manufacturing environment supporting customer demand, overtime may occasionally be required, including extended shifts or weekend hours when business needs arise.

- Train and assist across plating operations, including blasting, degreasing, chem film and electroplating processes
- Support part preparation, handling, cleaning and inspection throughout the plating process
- Follow established work instructions, standard operating procedures and process requirements
- Safely handle chemicals, materials and equipment in accordance with established safety procedures
- Monitor work and parts for quality throughout assigned processes
- Accurately document production activities and required process information
- Assist with basic equipment setup and routine maintenance as needed
- Maintain a clean, safe and organized work area
- Work collaboratively with Plating, Quality and other production team members to support production requirements
- Participate in training and cross-training to develop proficiency across plating operations
- Perform other related duties as assigned by the Plating Manager
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Previous experience in electroplating, metal finishing, surface treatment or a related manufacturing environment preferred
- Ability to follow detailed work instructions, procedures and safety requirements
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing quality work
- Ability to work independently while contributing to a team environment
- Basic computer skills for production documentation
- Willingness and ability to learn multiple plating processes and safe chemical-handling practices
Work Environment & Physical Requirements
This position works in an active manufacturing and plating environment and may involve exposure to chemicals, machine noise, production equipment and varying temperatures. Employees must be able to perform the essential functions of the position, with or without reasonable accommodation.
The role may require standing and walking for extended periods; bending, reaching and other physical movement throughout the shift; lifting and moving materials or components weighing up to 50 pounds; safely working around chemicals and production equipment; and wearing all required personal protective equipment (PPE).
Expected Compensation
The anticipated pay range posted for this position represents PacAero (Litron, LLC)’s good-faith estimate of compensation for the role at the time of posting. Actual compensation will be determined based on factors including relevant experience, education, skills, certifications, internal equity, geographic market data, current market conditions, and the overall compensation and benefits package associated with the position, in accordance with applicable law and Company policy.
