Role Overview:

We are seeking Factory Acceptance Testing technicians to oversee the testing, scheduling, and yard control operations for our newly manufactured generators.   This role is responsible for executing standardized test procedures, documenting results, identifying issues, and ensuring generators meet company and regulatory requirements.  We are currently hiring for multiple shifts.  Shift assignment will be discussed during the interview process and is based on business needs and candidate availability. 


Key Responsibilities:

  • Performing factory acceptance testing on newly manufactured generators
  • Executing startup, operational, load, and endurance tests per established procedures
  • Conducting emissions testing and ensuring accurate data capture and documentation
  • Identifying, documenting, and communicating defects or non-conformances
  • Assisting with troubleshooting mechanical, electrical, or engine-related issues
  • Accurately recording test results and maintaining complete test records
  • Supporting safe, organized test yard operations
  • Following all safety procedures and promoting a strong safety culture
  • Collaborating with engineering, production, and quality teams
Requirements

Basic (Required) Qualifications:

  • 2+ years of experience in manufacturing, production testing, or equipment testing preferably within generator or electrical equipment environments.
  • Working knowledge of generator systems, testing procedures, or performance standards
  • Experience using testing tools, diagnostic equipment, or related software
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow standardized procedures
  • Effective communication skills and ability to work cross-functionally
  • Commitment to safety and quality compliance
  • Ability to stand for extended periods and safely lift up to 50 lbs

 Preferred Qualifications:

  • Have mechanical, electrical, or assembly experience (generator experience preferred)
  • Are familiar with emissions testing equipment and computer-aided testing programs
  • Can troubleshoot internal combustion engine or electrical system issues
  • Take pride in precision, documentation, and quality workmanship
