Heartline Staffing, in partnership with Purple Cow Recruiting, is seeking an experienced Certified Surgical Technologist (CVOR) for a 13-week travel assignment in a high-acuity Cardiovascular Operating Room setting in Columbus, Ohio.

This role supports complex cardiac and vascular surgical procedures in a fast-paced CVOR environment requiring precision, speed, and advanced technical skill.

POSITION OVERVIEW
This assignment is ideal for experienced CVOR Techs with strong cardiac and vascular backgrounds who are comfortable working in high-acuity surgical environments and supporting advanced cardiovascular procedures.

ASSIGNMENT DETAILS
• 13-week contract
• 3x12 Night shifts
• 18:30–07:00
• Call required
• Weekend coverage as needed
• Must be flexible
• No 10-hour shifts
• No block scheduling

COMPENSATION
• Gross: $2,377 per week
• W2: $25.00 per hour
• Tax-Free Stipend: $1,477 per week

CLINICAL RESPONSIBILITIES
• Scrub cardiovascular and vascular procedures
• Maintain sterile field and aseptic technique
• Assist in cardiac, thoracic, and vascular surgeries
• Manage crash cart and emergency response setup
• Document instrumentation and equipment usage
• Support trauma and hybrid OR cases
• Perform instrument reprocessing for cardiovascular and thoracic cases

PROCEDURE FOCUS
• CABG procedures
• EVAR and TEVAR
• Valve replacements
• Abdominal aortic aneurysm repairs
• Ventricular assist device procedures

PATIENT POPULATION
• Adult and geriatric patients

ORIENTATION
• 80 hours total orientation

• Minimum 5 years total CST experience required
• Minimum 2 years dedicated cardiac and vascular experience required
• Minimum 1 year CVOR experience required
• Minimum 1 year Level I Trauma experience required
• Scrub experience required
• Experience with CVOR procedures including CABG, EVAR, TEVAR, valve replacement, and VAD procedures required
• Thoracic and vascular procedure experience required
• Aseptic technique required
• Crash cart experience required
• Instrumentation documentation required
• Cardiovascular and thoracic instrument reprocessing required
• BLS certification required
• Epic EMR experience required
• Call required with weekend coverage as needed
• Must adhere to scheduling requirements (3x12 Nights; no block scheduling; no 10-hour shifts)
• RTO must be submitted with application and built into contract
• Strict compliance timeline required (Tuesday prior to start)
• Ohio fingerprinting required immediately after signing
• Local candidates accepted at same rate
• Flu vaccine required (medical exemptions only); COVID not required
