About the Role:
The Material Handler will assist loading/unloading the laser, as well as moving materials to and from the Fab Shop.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Operating a forklift safely to transport materials and/or product within the facility (from / to the fab shop, paint department, production lines and warehouse).
- Loading/unloading materials onto/off the laser.
- Handle materials with care to prevent damage to items being transported to any surrounding property (machinery, racks, support beams, etc.)
- Inventory management - keep accurate records of inventory movement (receipts/transfers) within each department.
- Equipment maintenance - perform daily equipment checks, reporting any mechanical issues or problems to your supervisor.
- Safety compliance - adhere to all safety regulations and guidelines to prevent accidents, damage to property, and injuries to yourself or others.
- Must be able to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED (General Education Degree)
- Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and good communication skills
- Must be able to read, write and understand English
- Minimum of 3 years' experience operating a forklift in a manufacturing environment
