Description

Vulcan Mechanical Services is hiring a Commercial HVAC Service Technician with 2+ years of commercial experience focused on maintenance and service.


This role is a mix of preventative maintenance and service work (approximately 60/40, seasonally variable). Technicians are expected to independently handle routine service calls and contribute to maintaining low callback rates through accurate diagnostics and quality workmanship.


Work is 100% commercial with no residential and no refrigeration.

What You’ll Work On

· Rooftop units (RTUs) 

· Split systems 

· VRF systems 

· Boilers

· Chillers


Responsibilities

· Perform preventative maintenance and inspections on commercial HVAC systems 

· Diagnose and repair system issues using standard diagnostic tools 

· Repair or replace components including motors, contactors, compressors, and control devices 

· Accurately document work using phone-based software 

· Communicate findings clearly with customers and internal team 

· Deliver high-quality work with minimal callbacks


Qualifications (Required)

· 2–5 years of commercial HVAC experience (PM and/or service) 

· EPA Universal Certification (required)

· Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record 

· Ability to independently handle routine service calls with minimal oversight 

· Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic ability (not just parts replacement)

· Professional communication skills with customers and team
