DIESEL MECHANIC – NIGHT SHIFT (11PM–7AM)

WHAT YOU’LL BE WORKING ON

Real equipment. Real experience. Not just oil changes.

• Class 8 semi-trucks & trailers
• Freightliner, Western Star, International
• Detroit Diesel & Cummins engines
• Manual & automatic transmissions
• Tankers, flatbeds, gravel trains, live bottoms

You’ll learn:

• Diagnostics (electrical, air, fuel, hydraulic)
• DOT inspections
• Preventative maintenance
• Industry diagnostic software

WHAT WE NEED FROM YOU

• Reliable (huge)

• Basic mechanical ability
• Team player but can work independently with little to no direct supervision

• Ability to work a flexible schedule.

• Ability and knowledge to diagnose diesel engines, transmissions, and differential projects

• Strong communication skills – team oriented

Ability and willingness to work after hours shifts.

Preferred requirements:

Have a CDL or are willing to obtain one

• Hold ASE certificates in HD trucks.
• Hold a State of Michigan heavy-duty mechanic license
• Are familiar with fleet maintenance software
• Take pride in keeping trucks safe, reliable, and road-ready in a timely manner

Physical Requirements of a Diesel Tech:

• Ability to lift a minimum of 35 pounds

• Ability to bend, stretch, kneel, and squat to perform repairs and inspection

• Enough vision to inspect repair work

• Ability to use/operate hand tools, power tools, and other heavy machinery

• Ability to pass a drug and alcohol screen
