Position Overview
Legacy Medical Academy is seeking a Program Director to lead and strengthen healthcare training programs serving students and adult learners across Indiana. This leadership role oversees Legacy’s state-approved Nurse Aide Training Program as well as Qualified Medication Aide (QMA), insulin administration, and related healthcare workforce credential programs.
The Program Director plays a central role in ensuring program quality, supporting instructors, maintaining regulatory compliance, and strengthening partnerships with schools and clinical providers. This position offers the opportunity to help shape programs that prepare students for meaningful healthcare careers while supporting Legacy’s continued statewide growth.
The Program Director works closely with Legacy leadership to ensure programs remain consistent, compliant, and positioned for long-term success. This role leads program quality, instructor support, and training outcomes across all locations.
Program Leadership, Credential Oversight & Compliance
- Serve as the Program Director for Legacy’s Nurse Aide Training Program
- Provide oversight for CNA, Qualified Medication Aide (QMA), insulin administration, and related healthcare credential programs
- Ensure programs meet all applicable state and federal training requirements
- Maintain oversight of curriculum delivery, competencies, and program documentation
- Ensure student, instructor, and program records remain accurate and audit-ready
- Monitor and maintain clinical and laboratory training standards across locations
- Ensure all credential programs maintain required approvals and compliance standards
- Serve as the primary liaison with regulatory agencies
Instructional Leadership
- Provide leadership and supervision to nurse aide instructors and healthcare training faculty
- Promote consistency, quality, and accountability across all program sites
- Support instructor onboarding, mentoring, and professional development
- Collaborate with clinical partners to support strong student learning experiences
Program Operations & Growth
- Provide leadership across Legacy’s multi-site healthcare training model
- Support development and expansion of additional healthcare credential programs
- Strengthen partnerships with schools, employers, and clinical providers
- Promote a culture focused on professionalism, compliance, and student success
Required Qualifications
- Active, unencumbered Registered Nurse license in Indiana
- Minimum two years of nursing experience
- Experience in healthcare education, staff training, or program leadership
- Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills
- Ability to oversee programs operating across multiple locations
Preferred Qualifications
- At least one (1) year of licensed nursing experience in a long-term care setting
- Previous experience with nurse aide training programs or healthcare education compliance
- Experience working with regulatory agencies or workforce credentialing programs
- Experience overseeing multiple healthcare training or workforce development programs
Travel Expectations
Legacy Medical Academy partners with schools and clinical training sites throughout Indiana. This role requires periodic travel to support instructors, monitor program quality, and maintain partner relationships. Travel is planned and varies based on program needs
