What You’ll Do
As a valued member of our refractive team, you will:
- Perform comprehensive refractive workups and advanced diagnostics
- Obtain detailed medical and ocular histories
- Accurately document findings, assessments, and treatment plans
- Educate patients on refractive procedures and set clear expectations
- Assist with in-office procedures and surgical preparation
- Administer ophthalmic medications per protocol
- Support contact lens evaluations and insertion/removal training
- Maintain efficient clinic flow and deliver an exceptional patient experience
- Triage patient calls and ensure proper equipment sterilization
- Uphold HIPAA and professional standards at all times
Technology You’ll Work With
Experience with some or all of the following is preferred:
- Auto Refractor, Retinoscope, Phoropter, Slit Lamp
- Pentacam / Corneal Topography
- WaveScan
- IOL Master / Lenstar
- Humphrey Visual Field
- Pachymetry & Tonometry
- Zeiss & Heidelberg OCT
- Stereopsis, Worth 4-Dot, Van Herick, and EOM testing

What We’re Looking For
- 1+ year of ophthalmic technician/assistant experience preferred
- Refractive or surgical ophthalmology experience strongly preferred
- COA or COT certification is a plus
- Strong communication and multitasking abilities
- Detail-oriented with a patient-first mindset
- Comfortable using EMR systems and standard computer software
