Quantic BEI | Aerospace & Defense Technology

Quantic BEI is seeking a motivated Mechanical Engineering Intern to join our engineering team. This hands-on role provides exposure to real-world product development in a high-tech environment, supporting custom solutions designed to operate in extreme conditions (vibration, shock, temperature extremes, and vacuum).


What You’ll Do

  • Assist with mechanical design and modeling using SolidWorks
  • Support 3D printing and prototype fabrication
  • Participate in assembly, fit-checks, and testing of mechanical components
  • Create and maintain drawings, BOMs, and test documentation
  • Collaborate with electrical, software, and manufacturing teams
  • Contribute to design reviews and technical problem-solving

What We’re Looking For

  • Currently pursuing a BS or MS in Mechanical Engineering or related field
  • Foundation in mechanical design principles
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment

  • Robotics - Building, programming, or competing with robots (FIRST Robotics, VEX, BattleBots, etc.)
  • 3D Printing & Maker Projects - Designing and fabricating custom parts or prototypes
  • RC Aircraft/Drones - Building, modifying, or flying remote-controlled vehicles
  • Amateur Rocketry - High-power rocketry, model rockets, or propulsion experiments
