This internship puts you at the center of a major project to create the complete parts management system for our Cooper Splicer equipment. You’ll work hands-on with machines, drawings, and engineering tools creating a system the entire maintenance team will rely on.

  

What You’ll Do

  • Create part numbers for inventory management and connect them to machine schematics
  • Organize and manage parts using Asset Essentials software
  • Update technical manuals and drawings
  • Work directly with the maintenance team on equipment and projects
  • Help design a system that improves efficiency across the plant

Requirements

  

· Students in Mechanical engineering, drafting, manufacturing, or related field.

· Technical drafting & CAD experience (preferred)

· Ability to read schematics and machine drawings

· Must have high school diploma.

· Must have completed at least one year of study at a four-year accredited college or university 

· Must be willing to relocate or commute to Newport, NC for the duration of the internship. Temporary Housing is available.
