Summary


This position is part of the Summer Internship Program, which is scheduled to run from, Wednesday, May 27th through Friday, July 31st, potentially extending through mid-August based on the decision of the hiring manager and department. Candidates must be available for the full duration of the program to ensure a consistent and meaningful learning experience.


The Intern - Mortgage will work closely with mortgage loan originators within the department and requisite outside parties to ensure timely loan closing for the bank’s mortgage customers. 


Responsibilities

  • Participate in secondary marketing meetings with mortgage investors, aggregators, Mortgage Insurance companies, vendors, etc.
  • Work with Digital Marketing team to develop content.
  • Attend local Mortgage and Realtor functions.
  • Work with Retail and other departments to get a full understanding of the bank.
  • Adhere to established quality and service standards.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements

Required Skills/Experience/Education

  • Minimum preferred cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher
  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree required.
  • Business majors preferred.
  • Be a highly motivated self-starter who takes initiative.
  • Demonstrates attention to detail and strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Possesses strong communication and teamwork skills. 
  • Authorized to work in the U.S. on a permanent basis. Essential Mental & Physical Requirements

  • Ability to travel if required to perform the essential job functions. 
  • Ability to work under stress and meet deadlines.
  • Ability to read and interpret a document if required to perform the essential job functions
  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer may be required.
  • Ability to lift/move/carry approximately 15 pounds if required to perform the essential job functions. If the employee is unable to lift/move/carry this weight and can be accommodated without causing the department/division and “undue hardship” then the employee must be accommodated; hence omitting lifting/moving/carrying as a physical requirement.
