Description
CooperZadeh Holdings is seeking a skilled and reliable Maintenance Technician to support our Build-to-Rent (BTR) communities across East Texas, including Tyler, Terrell, and Mabank. This role is responsible for maintaining high-quality rental homes, completing service requests efficiently, supporting make-ready turns, and upholding safety and operational standards across the portfolio.
The Maintenance Technician plays a key role in delivering a “rent-ready WOW” product, reducing emergency repairs through preventative maintenance, and ensuring professional resident interactions while protecting company assets.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Complete service requests within company response and completion standards.
- Diagnose and repair HVAC, plumbing, electrical, appliance, drywall, and carpentry issues.
- Perform preventative maintenance per schedule to reduce emergency calls.
- Execute make-ready tasks and support turn timelines.
- Document all work orders accurately in Yardi CMMS.
- Conduct property inspections and identify repair scope needs.
- Maintain clean, organized, and safe work areas.
- Follow OSHA, city, and warranty compliance standards.
- Participate in on-call rotation as required.
- Communicate professionally with residents, vendors, and team members.
Requirements
Education & Experience
- Minimum 2+ years of residential, multifamily, or BTR maintenance experience.
- Strong working knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and appliance repair.
Certifications
- EPA Certification – Type II or Universal (Required).
Technical Skills
- Proficiency in CMMS platforms; experience with Yardi strongly preferred.
- Ability to troubleshoot independently and prioritize work effectively.
- Comfortable using mobile devices for work order management.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift 50+ lbs.
- Ability to work outdoors in Texas heat and varying weather conditions.
- Ability to climb stairs, bend, kneel, and stand for extended periods.
Other Requirements
- Valid Texas driver’s license and reliable transportation.
- Willingness to travel between assigned East Texas communities.
- Participation in rotating on-call schedule.
- Strong commitment to safety, professionalism, and accountability.
