Purpose
The Senior Business Enterprise Analyst is responsible for leading discovery, requirements definition, and business analysis for enterprise-level strategic initiatives, ensuring solutions are well-defined, aligned to business needs, and positioned for successful execution.
Reporting to the Director, Delivery & Execution, this role partners closely with the Strategy Execution Office and delivery leadership to translate strategic intent into clear, actionable requirements prior to and throughout execution. In addition to core business analysis responsibilities, this role provides project leadership for select initiatives, ensuring continuity from discovery through delivery.
This role plays a key part in establishing and maturing enterprise business analysis capabilities at AAIS, supporting digital transformation and business modernization efforts.
Responsibilities
Enterprise Discovery & Requirements Definition
- Lead structured discovery & business case development for enterprise-level strategic initiatives, including digital transformation and business modernization efforts.
- Elicit, analyze, and document business, functional, and non-functional requirements.
- Facilitate complex stakeholder interviews, workshops, and working sessions.
- Ensure requirements are validated, prioritized, and aligned to strategic objectives.
- Provide analysis and recommendations to inform solution options, tradeoffs, and implementation approaches.
Business & Process Analysis
- Analyze current-state processes, workflows, and systems.
- Identify gaps, inefficiencies, and opportunities for improvement.
- Develop future-state process designs aligned to business goals and strategic outcomes.
- Support change impact analysis and readiness planning.
Journey, Value Stream & Outcome Mapping
- Conduct user, member, or stakeholder journey mapping.
- Perform value stream mapping to identify bottlenecks and optimization opportunities.
- Ensure initiatives are designed to deliver measurable business value and outcomes.
Solution Definition & Delivery Support
- Translate requirements into executable work items and delivery plans.
- Support backlog creation, refinement, and prioritization.
- Clarify requirements throughout execution to reduce rework and scope churn.
- Act as a bridge between business stakeholders, delivery teams, and vendors.
Project Leadership (as assigned)
- Provide project leadership for select initiatives, ensuring continuity from discovery through delivery.
- Manage scope, timelines, dependencies, and stakeholder communication.
- Ensure delivered solutions align to approved requirements and intended outcomes.
- Partner with delivery leadership to support disciplined execution.
Portfolio & Initiative Support
- Support initiative scoping and readiness for portfolio intake.
- Ensure initiatives entering execution are sufficiently defined and outcome-oriented.
- Provide analysis and insight to support sequencing, capacity planning, and prioritization.
Capability Development
- Contribute to the development and maturation of enterprise business analysis practices.
- Help establish BA standards, templates, and toolkits in partnership with delivery leadership.
- Support continuous improvement of analysis and discovery practices across initiatives.
- Perform all other duties as assigned.

Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Information Systems, or related field. Master’s degree preferred.
- 7+ years of experience in a Business Analyst, Project Manager, or hybrid role.
- Minimum of 3 years experience demonstrating support of enterprise-scale initiatives or programs.
- Experience building or maturing PMO / business analysis capabilities, including toolkits and standards.
- Experience working closely with delivery teams, vendors, or technology partners.
- Experience supporting major organizational transformation and modernization efforts .
- CBAP, CCBA, PMI-PBA, or equivalent professional experience preferred.
- PMP or similar certification preferred.
- Ability to travel up to 10% for company meetings or planning sessions.
