The Pennon Organization is seeking a Data Analytics Inter for the Summer 2026 semester to support the enhancement of data analysis and visualization while providing the intern with hands-on experience in data science in a corporate setting.

Responsibilities 

• Assist with collecting and analyzing data across Pennon’s verticals including WITF public media, Pennon Education, and WITF news and journalism.
• Assist the Pennon’s Data Analyst and CFO with translating business and product challenges into actionable analyses. 
• Explore datasets and create visualizations on product features and user behavior. 
• Assist with and learn how to deliver insights and recommendations to guide data-driven decisions making.

Qualifications 

• Pursuing or completed a degree in Information Systems, Software Engineering, Computer Science, or related fields. Eligible students should have completed 3 years of undergraduate learning or be actively enrolled in a master’s level program.
• Strong analytical and data-driven thinking skills. 
• Experience with Python, Java, C++ or other applicable languages.
• Experience with data visualization tools (Tableau, Power BI). 
• Knowledge of product development processes and ETL tools is an advantage. 
• Strong written and verbal English communication skills. 

This internship is a temporary assignment that requires in-person attendance at least 2 days/week at the Public Media Center in Harrisburg, PA. Remote work is not available for this internship.
