Position Overview
The PRN Registered Nurse (RN) delivers safe, evidence-based, patient-centered care in one or more clinical departments. PRN nurses may choose to work in a single specialty or cross-train into multiple areas depending on experience, competency, and certifications.

General/Core Responsibilities
- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized patient care.
- Administer medications, IV therapies, blood products, and treatments per provider orders and policy.
- Recognize and communicate changes in patient condition promptly.
- Accurately document in the Electronic Medical Record (EMR) according to regulatory and hospital standards.
- Provide patient and family education, pain management, and discharge planning.
- Maintain safety, infection-prevention standards, and HIPAA compliance.
- Collaborate and communicate effectively with physicians, leadership, staff, patients, and families.
- Delegate and supervise tasks for CNAs and support staff per licensure.
- Respond effectively in urgent or emergency situations.
- Participate in required education, competency validation, and quality improvement initiatives.
- Perform additional duties based on department needs.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing
- Active Wyoming RN license
- Current AHA BLS certification
- Computer proficiency; EPIC EMR experience preferred
Physical & Sensory Requirements
- Ability to lift, push, or pull up to 50 lbs independently
- Frequent standing, walking, bending, reaching, and repetitive movements
- Adequate hearing, vision, and speech for safe patient care
