CNC Machining Apprenticeship - 1st & 2nd Shift | Paid Training| St. Louis, MO


The Gund Company is launching a CNC Machining Apprenticeship Program for individuals who want to start a long-term career in advanced manufacturing. No previous machining experience required—just strong work ethic, reliability, and a desire to learn.

This is a hands-on, paid training program that prepares you for a skilled role as a CNC Operator with opportunities for continued growth.

What You’ll Learn

  • How to operate CNC mills and lathes
  • Reading blueprints and machining instructions
  • Precision measuring using calipers, micrometers, and gauges
  • Basic machine setup, tooling, and offsets
  • Material handling and safety best practices
  • Quality inspection fundamentals

What You’ll Do

  • Assist experienced CNC Operators during setup and production
  • Learn and follow standard operating procedures
  • Support machining, material prep, and general shop tasks
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment
  • Demonstrate reliability, punctuality, and eagerness to grow

What We’re Looking For

  • Mechanical aptitude and interest in hands-on work
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Dependable and punctual
  • Willing to learn new skills and cross-train
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • High school diploma or equivalent

(Manufacturing experience is a plus but NOT required.)

Shifts Available

  • 1st Shift: 6:00 AM – 2:30 PM
  • 2nd Shift: 2:00 PM – 10:30 PM (with shift premium)
