Position Overview
The Business Analyst supports DoD IT initiatives by eliciting, analyzing, documenting, and managing requirements; developing process documentation; and supporting continuous improvement efforts. The Business Analyst works closely with government stakeholders and project teams to translate mission needs into actionable requirements in a classified DoD environment.
This position is contingent upon contract award. Employment is subject to contract award, funding, and the ability to obtain and maintain the required security clearance.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Gather, analyze, and document business and functional requirements for IT systems and process improvements.
- Develop professional written products, including process documentation, workflows, training materials, and procedural guides.
- Support DoD software development projects and programs through requirements management and stakeholder coordination.
- Develop and maintain processes, tools, templates, and performance metrics.
- Support Six Sigma process improvement initiatives using the DMAIC methodology.
- Support IT initiatives utilizing ServiceNow and related enterprise platforms.
- Prepare analysis, reports, and visualizations suitable for executive level and operational audiences.
- Bachelor’s degree (or higher); or a bachelor’s degree may be waived with 10 years of related work experience.
- DoD Secret Clearance is required
- Minimum 5 years of experience gathering, analyzing, and documenting business and functional requirements.
- Minimum 5 years of professional writing experience, including development of process documentation, workflows, training, and instructional materials.
- Minimum 5 years of experience supporting DoD programs.
- Minimum 5 years of experience supporting DoD software development projects and programs.
- Minimum 5 years of experience developing processes, tools, templates, and performance metrics.
- Minimum 5 years of demonstrated experience managing Six Sigma projects following the Define, Measure, Analyze, Improve and Control (DMAIC) cycle.
- Experience with the following technologies and platforms: Minimum 1–2 years of demonstrated experience using ServiceNow; Microsoft Office Suite; Microsoft Project and Visio; SharePoint; Adobe Suite
