Reports To: Director of Food Service
Job Summary: The Food Service District Manager is responsible for leading the operations, performance, and profitability of food services located at Bluewater Market convenience store locations within the assigned district and any food service operations within each store. This role requires dynamic leadership for growth in all areas, including restaurant count, sales growth, implementing new technology and services and developing our brands to stand apart from the competition. It ensures consistency in customer experience, operational excellence, financial performance, and compliance with company/brand standards and regulatory requirements. This position demands creative marketing talent, adherence to food quality and service standards, menu development and offerings, image, promotions, and employee development. The role focuses on driving profitability, operational consistency, and staff development, often requiring 70% or more time in the field. The Food Service District Manager leads, develops, and coaches General Managers and their teams to achieve targets and deliver exceptional service while upholding the company’s values. This role ensures consistent guest experience, drives sales and profitability, and maintains compliance with company policies and food safety regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
Leadership & People Development
- Recruit, hire, train, coach, and develop Restaurant Managers and key personnel
- Conduct performance evaluations and provide ongoing feedback
- Promote a positive, respectful, and high-engagement work culture
- Ensure compliance with labor laws and company HR policies
Operational Excellence, Customer Experience & Brand Standards
- Oversee daily operations across 4–6 restaurant locations
- Ensure consistent execution of brand standards, recipes, service, and cleanliness
- Conduct regular restaurant visits, audits, and performance reviews
- Identify operational gaps and implement corrective action plans
Financial Performance
- Drive sales growth, profitability, and cost controls
- Monitor and analyze P&L statements, labor, food cost, and controllables
- Set goals and action plans to improve key financial metrics
- Support local marketing and community engagement initiatives

- Experience: 3–5+ years of multi-unit restaurant management experience (fast food or fast casual preferred)
- Education: High school diploma or GED required; Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Business, Hospitality, or related field preferred
- Skills: Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook), and POS systems
- Logistics: Valid driver’s license, clean driving record, and reliable personal transportation for frequent travel between SC locations.
- Attributes: Demonstrated leadership ability, strong communication skills, and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Experience:
- Proven ability to lead, coach, and develop management teams
- Excellent organizational, communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills
- Undergraduate degree or equivalent
- Some foodservice experience.
- Dynamic and engaging personality.
- Servsafe certified or ability to be certified within 30 days of employment.
- Solid computer skills and familiar with social media platforms.
- Ability to multitask.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills
- Proficiency with POS systems, scheduling, and restaurant reporting tools
