As a Meter Reader Manager, you will oversee daily meter reading operations for residential, commercial, and industrial gas & electric customers, ensuring accuracy, safety, and regulatory compliance across all assigned territories.


Key Responsibilities

  • Team Leadership Recruit, train, and supervise      meter readers performing gas & electric meter reading.
  • Gas Safety Compliance Ensure all field activities      follow gas & electric utility safety standards, including leak      awareness, theft of service, emergency response protocols, and PPS safety      procedures.
  • Operational Oversight Plan and assign daily routes,      monitor productivity, and ensure timely completion of route schedules.
  • Quality Assurance Conduct field audits, verify      read accuracy, and implement corrective actions to maintain high data      integrity for billing and compliance.
  • Regulatory Adherence Maintain compliance with state      and federal gas & electric utility regulations, including      documentation, reporting, and adherence to utility-specific standards.
  • Client Coordination Serve as the primary point of      contact for utility partners, providing updates on performance metrics,      field conditions, and service delivery.
  • Field Support Assist with escalated field      issues such as inaccessible meters, hazardous conditions, or customer      concerns.

Qualifications

  • Experience in gas & electric utility operations, field services, or meter reading      supervision
  • Knowledge of gas safety protocols, including leak recognition and emergency procedures
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills
  • Ability to work outdoors and support field teams in varied weather conditions
  • Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
  • Familiarity with state utility regulations and utility-specific compliance requirements
