Join our team as a Water/Wastewater Engineer in Training (EIT) within our Utilities practice area. This is a hybrid role based out of our Charlotte, North Carolina office.
In this role, you'll support the planning, analysis, and design of water and wastewater infrastructure systems while contributing to meaningful projects that serve growing communities. Working alongside experienced engineers, you'll gain hands-on technical experience, develop project delivery skills, and continue progressing in your professional career.
This position is ideal for a recent college graduate or early-career professional eager to gain hands-on experience in water/wastewater infrastructure.

- Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering or related field, or equivalent experience.
- 0-2 years of related professional experience (internships and co-ops considered).
- Exposure to and/or experience with AutoCAD, Civil 3D, Geopak, or related design software.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
- Strong organizational and analytical skills with attention to detail.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Self-motivated, eager to learn, and able to take direction.
- Ability to prioritize multiple tasks under deadlines.
- Demonstrates enthusiasm, flexibility, and commitment to professional growth
Preferred:
- FE Exam in progress/completed. Possibly already an EI/EIT.
- EI/EIT certification or ability to obtain.
- Internship experience in field of expertise.
- Exposure to graphic or visualization software.

Working Conditions

The assignment may occasionally require repetitive physical tasks (such as operating a computer), standing and/or sitting for extended periods of time, extended time travelling in a vehicle, and carrying equipment and materials up to 25 pounds.
