WDRB News is looking for interns who are passionate about pursuing journalism. Now accepting applications for our Summer Internship Program.


This is an immersive, high-energy internship designed for students who want to build a career in digital or broadcast news.


What You’ll Do:

Interns are fully integrated into newsroom operations and gain exposure to all areas of our award-winning news team, including:

  • Writing scripts and web stories for newscasts and WDRB.com
  • Assisting with digital content and social media
  • Shooting and editing video
  • Supporting reporters, producers, photographers, and assignment editors
  • Participating in editorial meetings

Program Structure:
During the first half of the internship, students rotate through multiple newsroom roles to gain broad exposure. In the second half, interns focus on a specific area to develop skills and prepare for professional success.


Compensation

This is an unpaid internship for academic credit.

Requirements

Who We’re Looking For:

We want motivated, curious, and driven students who are excited to learn and ready to jump in.

Qualifications:

  • Current college student pursuing a degree in Journalism, Communications, Broadcast, or a related
  • Strong interest in careers such as Reporter/MSJ, Producer, Photographer, Digital Producer, Sports Reporter, or Assignment Editor
  • Must receive college credit for the internship
  • Energetic, professional, dependable, and not afraid to ask questions
