Nexus Family Healing is looking to hire a Social Worker Supervisor to join our outstanding team in Onarga, IL and Manteno, IL!
Nexus Family Healing at Onarga is located approximately 30 miles south of Kankakee and 45 miles north of Champaign-Urbana, just a few miles off of I-57 on a historic site in Onarga, Illinois. This location provides boys ages 10 to 20 years old a structured, homelike environment where they can safely address a variety of unhealthy behaviors and mental health issues as well as childhood trauma.
Nexus Family Healing at Indian Oaks is located approximately 50 miles south of Chicago, in the small, rural community of Manteno, Illinois. Our campus features cozy cottages with private bedrooms that provide safety and comfort for youth in residence.

Pay and Schedule:
- Full-time on-site opportunity
- Locations: Split between 110 North Locust, Onarga, IL 60955 and 101 N. Bramble Street Manteno, IL 60950
- Starting at $70,000 - 80,000 per year!

Primary responsibilities:
Staff Leadership & Supervision
- Provide daily guidance, oversight, and support to assigned staff.
- Participate in and lead individual/group supervision to review cases and ensure best practices.
- Support staff meetings, trainings, and ongoing development.
- Participate in hiring, onboarding, training, and performance evaluations.
- Coordinate schedules and ensure adequate coverage.
Program & Compliance
- Help implement and maintain a strengths-based, trauma-informed, family-engaged treatment approach.
- Ensure compliance with licensing requirements, regulations, and program protocols.
- Maintain staff/client ratios and ensure client safety.
- Collaborate with the Licensing Coordinator on referrals, placements, and foster parent licensing processes.
Resource Family Support
- Recruit, train, license, and support foster/resource families.
- Monitor foster/adoptive parent activities and ensure adherence to state and federal guidelines.
- Coordinate required training and ongoing education for resource families.
- Ensure workers follow required procedures for home studies, inspections, and background checks.
Case Management & Client Support
- Provide case coverage and direct services as needed.
- Conduct assessments, complete required documentation, and meet caseload standards.
- Coordinate treatment services, family contact, visits, and schedules.
- Provide crisis intervention and maintain calm, sound judgment in stressful situations.
- Maintain professional, trauma-informed relationships with youth and families.

Required Education and Licensure:
- Master’s degree in one of the behavioral sciences, human services or related fields, from an accredited college or university.
- Must be a licensed certified social worker (LGSW, LICSW, LISW).
- Minimum of three years of experience working with families or children in a social services setting.
- Valid driver’s license required. Must meet state regulating agency and Home Office driving requirements.
- Must be able to successfully pass a DCFS background check.
Preferred Education and Experience:
- Prefer previous supervisory and leadership experience.
