Description

 

The Factory Baker is responsible for preparing, mixing, baking, and packaging products according to company recipes, quality standards, and food safety guidelines. This role requires attention to detail, efficiency, and the ability to work in a fast-paced production environment.


 

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare and measure ingredients accurately following standardized recipes

  • Operate commercial baking equipment (mixers, ovens, proofers, etc.)

  • Monitor baking times and temperatures to ensure product quality

  • Follow production schedules to meet daily output goals

  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of workstations

  • Follow all food safety, sanitation, and allergen control procedures

  • Label products accurately and ensure proper storage

  • Report equipment issues or product inconsistencies to supervisors

  • Assist with packaging and preparation for shipment when needed
  • Comply with company policies and safety regulations
     
Requirements

 

Qualifications

  • Previous baking or food production experience preferred

  • Ability to follow written and verbal instructions

  • Basic math skills (measuring, weighing, portioning)

  • Ability to work early mornings, weekends, or overtime if required

  • Strong attention to detail and consistency

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to stand for extended periods

  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds

  • Ability to work in hot environments near ovens

  • Repetitive use of hands and arms

Work Environment

  • Fast-paced production setting

  • Exposure to heat, flour dust, and food allergens

  • Requires teamwork and clear communication
