About the Role

The Legal Intern will support the Legal Department with research, document preparation, and administrative legal tasks. This role provides hands-on exposure to corporate/legal operations and offers the opportunity to gain practical experience in a fast-paced professional environment. The intern will work closely with the General Counsel and cross-functional partners to assist with ongoing legal matters and special projects.


What will you do?

  • Conduct legal research on statutes, regulations, case law, and industry-specific compliance matters
  • Assist in drafting and reviewing contracts, agreements, and internal legal documents
  • Support document organization, file management, and contract tracking systems
  • Prepare summaries, memoranda, and reports for internal stakeholders
  • Assist with compliance audits and policy updates
  • Support litigation preparation, including discovery organization and document review (if applicable)
  • Attend internal meetings and take notes on legal discussions as needed
  • Provide general administrative support to the Legal team

Requirements

Candidate Requirements

  • Currently enrolled in an accredited undergraduate program (Pre-Law, Political Science, Business, or related field) or Juris Doctor (JD) program. (2L preferred)
  • Strong research, analytical, and writing skills
  • High attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Ability to handle confidential information with discretion
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines

Licenses, Registrations, Certificates

  • Valid state motor vehicle operator’s license
  • Prior internship or work experience in a legal or corporate environment
  • Familiarity with legal research tools

Location & Commitments

  • Frequent use of hands and fingers to prod, handle, feel, or reach.
  • Regularly required to talk or hear. 
  • Occasionally required to stand, walk, and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. 
  • Occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. 
  • Specific vision requirements include close vision and the ability to focus vision. 
  • The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
