Summary:

CheBA Hut now has 2 AGM roles within each location. Each AGM working the people side for six months then working the product side for six months. We want to grow AGM's to become GM's as we continue to expand huts across the country.

The CheBA Hut Assistant General Manager will be responsible for assisting the General Manager in the four operational areas of responsibility including: People, Product, Bar, and Marketing. The AGM will have ownership of some or all of the areas of responsibility depending on the needs of the GM and the business.


The Assistant General Manager will report to the General Manager, District Manager, and Ownership group. They will be responsible for upholding expectations of the crew and product, while curating a motivating work environment and positive customer experience.


This is not a role for the weary and requires self discipline, integrity, and leading by example. Supervisory Responsibilities:

The AGM will supervise the shift leads, trainers, bar homies, and crew

Duties and Responsibilities:

  •  Create and maintain a positive and motivating work environment
  •  Meet product metrics and uphold food safety and product quality standards
  •  Oversee bar management and metrics
  •  Assist in the curation of shop culture and market awareness through marketing

Create and Maintain a Positive and Motivating Work Environment

  •  Execute a high level of communication skills in both positive and negative situations. The AGM must always have a “set up for success” mindset.
  •  Responsible for the life cycle of the employee:
  • Hiring
  • Training
  • Scheduling
  • Progressive Disciplinary Action
  • Terminations
  • Position Changes
  •  Maintain and meet SPMH and Labor metrics.
  •  Lead, motivate, and support the team through coaching, recognition, and accountability.

Meet Product Metrics and Uphold Food Safety and Product Quality Standards

  •  Accurately forecast food sales to set ordering, prep, and stocking PARS.
  •  Ensure that food orders are placed and received correctly. Able to communicate with Sysco to solve any product issues.
  •  Create and maintain storage and organization expectations.
  •  Complete all product related admin tasks (invoices and inventory) in a timely manner to set Monday financials up for success for the GM.

Oversee Bar Management and Metrics

  •  Understand bar terminology and how to apply this knowledge to day-to-day operations.
  •  Understand and uphold all local and national alcohol laws and compliance.
  •  Oversee and provide feedback on bar invoices, pricing, and shop specific promos.
  •  Support the planning and execution of shop bar events.
  •  Oversee the bar “people” practices:
  • Bar meetings
  • Staffing and Scheduling
  • Progressive disciplinary action
  • Terminations

Assist In the Curation of Shop Culture and Market Awareness Through Marketing

  •  Ensure that marketing (social media, reviews, product drops, and events) expectations and metrics are met based on the Market Lead Program outline.
  •  Support and maintain positive relationships with current and new partners.
  •  Verify that all HQ required promos are marketed, trained, and executed.
  •  Assist in the event planning process and ensure that they are brand aligned with the intent to grow sales and curate unique shop culture.
Requirements

Required Experience, Skills & Abilities:

  •  Think “shop first” / customer first
  •  Demonstrate integrity

  •  Demonstrate “heads-up” leadership. Keep your head on a swivel and be aware.
  •  Food and Alcohol Service Safety certifications (ServeSafe, T.I.P.S)
  •  Willingness to solve complicated problems and see projects through to completion
  •  Analytical skills to study problems and records and identify solutions
  •  Team-oriented attitude
  •  Ability to manage time and effectively prioritize numerous projects at one time
  •  Strong interpersonal skills to develop and maintain crew relationships and influence behavior
  •  Training complete for all positions: crew, trainer, bartender, and shift leader
