About the Role:

This 12–16 week paid internship (May through August/September) is an excellent opportunity for a detail-oriented and motivated Accounting Intern to gain hands-on experience within our accounting team. We are looking for a junior or senior pursuing a degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field who is eager to apply classroom knowledge to real-world accounting operations.

In this role, you will support day-to-day accounting activities, gain exposure to essential financial processes, learn directly from experienced professionals, and contribute to meaningful projects that make an impact within the organization.


What You’ll Do:

  • Assist with various projects to improve the department and the credit union
  • Support monthly, quarterly, and year-end closing activities
  • Reconcile bank statements and general ledger accounts
  • Help prepare financial reports and documentation
  • Maintain organized, accurate financial records
  • Assist with data entry, filing, and scanning documents
  • Perform other tasks as assigned by the accounting team


What You'll Bring:

  • Currently pursuing a degree (2-3 years of college education) with a concentration in Accounting, Finance, or Business
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
  • Proficient with Microsoft Excel and basic accounting software
  • Strong communication and organizational skills
  • Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality
  • Eagerness to learn and contribute to a team environment
  • 3.0 GPA or greater preferred


What Would Make You Stand Out (Not Required):

  • Experience with credit unions/banking
  • Understanding of GAAP principles
  • Prior internship or relevant class project experience
