Job Summary

Mazzetti is seeking an experienced and dynamic Senior Electrical Engineer to join our team in Seattle, Washington. As a Senior Electrical Engineer, you will play a critical role in designing, developing, and implementing electrical systems for a variety of projects in the healthcare, higher education, and commercial sectors. You will be part of Mazzetti’s Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) Consulting Engineering Practice- a multidisciplinary team dedicated to designing high-performance, resilient, and sustainable solutions for the built environment. With a strong emphasis on healthcare and infrastructure projects, our practice blends technical rigor with a collaborative, client-centered approach to deliver exceptional, future-ready outcomes.

Mazzetti's Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing (MEP) Consulting Engineering Practice is dedicated to designing high performance, resilience, and sustainable solutions for the built environment, with a keen focus on Healthcare and Infrastructure projects. Our team of experts combines technical excellence with a collaborative, client-focused approach to deliver exceptional outcomes. 

Core Responsibilities

• Lead the design and development of electrical systems for various MEP projects in alignment with project requirements, timelines, and budgets.
• Oversee the technical work of project teams and provide guidance to staff.
• Collaborate on electrical designs and coordinate work within the Mazzetti team to successfully deliver projects from conception to execution.
• Engage with clients throughout the project lifecycle including participating in client meetings, presenting technical proposals and progress reports, and addressing technical concerns or inquiries

Work Location: This is a hybrid position involving working from home, client site visits, and occasionally being present in our Seattle, WA office as needed for project collaboration and teambuilding events.

Travel Requirements: This position requires local travel of 5% or less to support active projects and pursuits.

Education & Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering (or equivalent combination of education and professional experience).
• 10+ years of experience in building electrical systems design.
• Licensed Professional Engineer (PE).
• Demonstrated project management experience, with the ability to drive projects from concept through completion.
• Experience meeting with and consulting clients to support successful project outcomes.
• Proven leadership ability, including oversight and mentorship of technical team members.

Technical Expertise

• Comprehensive knowledge of MEP electrical system design.
• Strong understanding of building codes, standards, and regulations governing electrical system design.
• Ability to oversee and guide technical work to ensure quality and compliance.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to clearly convey complex technical concepts to diverse audiences (clients, project teams, and stakeholders).
• Healthcare and hospital design experience strongly preferred
• Proficiency in electrical design software such as Revit and/or AutoCAD
• PMP Certification
• LEED Accreditation

Compensation: The typical salary range for a Senior Electrical Engineer in Seattle, WA is $124,000 - $175,000. We are committed to equitable pay and will evaluate final compensation based on relevant experience and skills in alignment with internal equity and market data.
