Position Title: Rapid Response Coordinator (Temporary)
Reports to: Director of Program Strategy & Impact
Salary: $24/hr
Hours/Week: 40 Hours a week– includes some evenings, nights and weekends
Duration: This is a temporary position with a duration of 6 months

Centro Tyrone Guzman is Minnesota’s oldest and leading Latine-serving organization, dedicated to improving the well-being of Latine families through a holistic, intergenerational approach to education, health, and wellness. Our programs span the entire lifespan: from early childhood to youth engagement, maternal and family wellness, and older adult services.
Position Summary
The Rapid Response Coordinator is responsible for coordinating and managing community-based rapid response efforts to support families in crisis. This temporary, full-time role will lead volunteer engagement, logistics coordination, vendor communication, and service tracking across multiple support areas.
The coordinator plays a key role in ensuring timely, organized, and effective responses by working collaboratively with internal committees, community partners, and volunteers.
Job Responsibilities
Volunteer Management & Coordination
- Respond to volunteer inquiries in a timely and professional manner.
- Lead volunteer onboarding, orientation, and training processes.
- Schedule volunteers across various shifts and service activities.
- Track volunteer hours and maintain accurate service records.
- Provide ongoing communication and support to volunteers.
Rapid Response Logistics & Operations
- Coordinate logistics for rapid response efforts, including planning and execution.
- Order and track supplies based on the approved rapid response budget.
- Coordinate with vendors to secure necessary goods and services.
- Ensure materials and resources are available for service delivery.
- Maintain organized documentation of services provided to families.
Service Coordination Among Staff
- Work collaboratively with committees to coordinate services in the following areas:
- Food and Basic Needs
- Housing Stability and Essential Utilities
- Comprehensive Health and Well-Being
- Legal Support, Documentation, and Family Protection
- Mobility, Technology, and Access
- Community Support, Education, and Daily Living
- Volunteer Services
Partnership Development
- Develop and strengthen partnerships with community organizations and vendors.
- Support cross-sector collaboration to enhance rapid response capacity.
- Identify opportunities to improve service coordination and delivery.
- Experience working with and managing volunteers.
- Experience in social services, community outreach, or related field.
- Experience coordinating logistics, scheduling, or program operations.
- Experience in crisis response or emergency coordination. (preferred)
- Familiarity with community-based resource navigation. (preferred)
- Strong organizational and planning skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
- High level of flexibility and adaptability in fast-paced environments.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Collaborative team player with strong interpersonal skills.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise sound judgment.
- Bilingual (Spanish/English) required.
- Deep understanding of and commitment to working with Latine communities in a culturally responsive and trauma-informed manner.
- Demonstrated understanding of Latine immigrant experiences, including systemic barriers, generational dynamics, and social determinants of health.
- Experience working with and supporting LGBTQ+ Latine communities.
- Ability to build trust and collaborative relationships across diverse cultural and socioeconomic backgrounds.
- Strong alignment with Centro Tyrone Guzmán’s mission, values, and community-centered approach.
- Commitment to equity, inclusion, and continuous organizational improvement.

- Responsibilities of this role may evolve and change during the term of the position to respond effectively to emerging community needs and organizational priorities.
