GENERAL JOB DESCRIPTION

The Senior Maintenance Mechanic is responsible for the overall general maintenance of the facility and would perform tasks that would require necessary certifications and a specialized skill set. 

MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Facility Fixer & Systems Sleuth: You’ll be the go-to for checking out the health of our building’s vital systems- AC, plumbing, electrical, and more. If it hums, buzzes, or flows, you’re on it.
  • Equipment Whisperer: Keep leadership in the loop with regular updates on the condition of our gear and systems. No surprises, just solid info.
  • Efficiency Expert: Make sure everything runs smoothly and stays in tip-top shape. You’re the reason our facilities stay functional and fabulous.
  • Constant Evaluator: You’ve got an eye for detail and a knack for spotting issues before they become problems. Regular checkups are your jam.
  • Warehouse & Assembly Wizard: Jump in on warehouse and assembly tasks when needed. You’re versatile, hands-on, and always ready to help.
  • Building Maintenance Hero: From minor fixes to major repairs, you keep the building safe, clean, and operational. You’re the behind-the-scenes MVP.
  • Preventive Maintenance Mastermind: Schedule, supervise, and execute preventive maintenance like a pro. You keep things running before they break.
  • Service Call Commander: Know when it’s time to call in reinforcements. You’ll place service calls and make sure repairs happen fast and right.
  • Record Keeper Extraordinaire: Track repairs and maintenance like a boss. Your logs are accurate, organized, and always up to date.
  • Tool & Spare Parts Guru: Maintain a well-stocked supply of critical spare parts and tools. You’re always prepared for whatever comes your way.
  • Logistics Sidekick: Support planning and logistics to keep operations flowing smoothly. You’re a key player in the bigger picture.
  • Safety Sentinel: Help protect the building from fire, flood, and other hazards. You’re always thinking ahead to keep everyone safe.
  • Safety First Advocate: Initiate and promote safety measures throughout the facility. You’re the reason people feel secure at work.
  • Regulation Rockstar: Stay compliant with all local and national regulations. You know the rules; and you make sure we follow them.
  • Contract Reviewer & Cost Saver: Review facility/vendor contracts and suggest ways to save money or improve service. Your insights help us spend smarter.
  • Financial Watchdog: Keep management informed of anything that could impact the financial health of the facility. You’re not just fixing things; you’re protecting the bottom line.
  • Show up and shine: be reliably present and punctual, keeping things on track and on time.

QUALIFICATIONS FOR THE JOB

  • Two years or more related experience or equivalent.
  • Working knowledge of conveyor and material handling equipment – installation, maintenance and performance tuning. 
  • Forklift certified, and other machinery certifications (as needed).
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision.
  • Position requires flexibility in shift assignment and the capability of responding to mechanical emergencies

WORK ENVIRONMENT AND PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

  • Prolonged periods of standing/walking/sitting.
  • Occasionally lift, carry and/or move up to 50lbs.
  • Continually required to utilize hand and finger dexterity.
  • Occasionally required to climb, balance, bend, stoop, kneel or crawl.
  • Occasionally work near moving mechanical parts. 
  • Occasional loud noise.
  • Occasional varying environmental temperature changes.
