Make a Difference Where It Matters Most

At Parc Center for Disabilities, we believe every child deserves the opportunity to learn, grow, and experience life to the fullest. Our Discovery Learning Center is a warm, inclusive preschool serving children ages 2 months to 5 years, including children with diverse abilities.

We are currently seeking a compassionate, patient, and dedicated One-Year-Old Classroom Teacher who is passionate about early childhood education and inclusion. If you’re looking for a meaningful role where your work truly impacts children and families every day, this may be the perfect fit.

What You’ll Do

Key responsibilities include:

  • Creating a welcoming, inclusive classroom environment where every child feels safe, supported, and valued
  • Planning and leading engaging lessons using the Creative Curriculum, including music, art, sensory play, and hands-on learning
  • Supporting children with diverse needs using positive behavior support strategies
  • Tracking developmental progress using Teaching Strategies Gold
  • Building strong partnerships with families through open communication and conferences
  • Maintaining accurate documentation and records to support individualized learning
  • Collaborating with fellow teachers, therapists, and leadership as part of a mission-driven team
  • Following Pinellas County Childcare Licensing Standards and all safety requirements
  • Our classrooms are staffed based on children’s needs, not just minimum ratios, allowing you to focus on quality care, strong relationships, and meaningful instruction.
