Hidden Hollow & Knowlton Swim Clubs
The Assistant Pool Manager supports the daily operations of the aquatics facility and works closely with the Pool Manager and Aquatics Supervisor to maintain a safe, welcoming, and well-organized environment for members and guests. This role includes supervising lifeguards and instructors, assisting with facility operations, and ensuring all safety procedures and club policies are followed.

- Ability to lead staff, command respect from aquatics employees and guests, and delegate responsibilities appropriately.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Understanding of and commitment to Linvilla Orchards’ customer service standards.
- Ability to follow Linvilla Orchards’ cash handling procedures and perform basic math functions.
- Must be at least 19 years of age.
Experience
- Previous experience as a Lifeguard required.
- Prior experience as an Assistant Pool Manager or Pool Manager preferred.
Education
- High school diploma required.
- Some college coursework preferred.
Responsibilities
- Assist with training, supervising, and evaluating lifeguards and swim instructors.
- Implement staff schedules, lifeguard rotation schedules, and daily assignments.
- Monitor activities in the aquatics facility and proactively work to prevent accidents.
- Respond immediately and appropriately to emergencies, including performing lifeguarding skills, First Aid, CPR, and other emergency procedures until emergency medical services arrive.
- Maintain accurate records including attendance, accident/incident reports, chemical readings, and staff schedules.
- Address routine disciplinary issues and communicate concerns with the Pool Manager and Aquatics Supervisor as needed.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and orderly facility.
- Assist with pump room procedures including chemical testing, balancing, and filtration.
- Conduct regular facility inspections and report unsafe conditions or equipment to supervisors or the facilities manager.
- Assist with planning and participate in all required staff meetings and trainings.
- Maintain clear communication with guests, members, participants, and parents when applicable.
- Oversee daily opening and closing setup of the facility.
- Enforce all facility rules, policies, and procedures.
- Maintain a professional appearance and follow uniform requirements.
- Assume full management responsibilities when the Pool Manager is absent.
- Perform additional duties as assigned by supervisors.
