The Asset Recovery Analyst helps recover unclaimed funds held by various agencies on behalf of our clients. Responsibilities include communicating with clients and state agencies, researching databases to identify unpaid funds, tracking opportunities using internal systems, and documenting claim activity from initiation through resolution. The position also supports other departmental processes as needed.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Work independently while maintaining clear communication within a remote team environment.
- Research and identify potential unclaimed funds using internal systems and external databases.
- Apply critical thinking to identify opportunities for process improvements and efficiencies.
- Prepare and submit claims to appropriate state agencies and other entities.
- Maintain meticulous and accurate documentation throughout the lifecycle of each claim.
- Monitor claim progress and follow up with agencies to ensure timely resolution.
- Communicate professionally with clients, state agencies, and other stakeholders regarding claim status and documentation requirements.
- Track and manage claim opportunities using internal tracking tools.
- Review supporting documentation to verify eligibility and accuracy prior to submission.
- Assist with departmental reporting and other administrative or operational processes as needed.
- Demonstrate proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Outlook.

Qualifications:
- 1+ years of experience recovering unclaimed property from government agencies.
- Strong research and analytical skills with the ability to review and interpret data from multiple sources.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to maintain accurate documentation.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and track projects through completion.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to communicate professionally with clients and state agencies.
- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively in a remote team environment.
- Critical thinking and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify process improvements and efficiencies.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel and Outlook.
- Experience working with databases or case-management systems preferred.
- Ability to follow established processes while adapting to changing priorities.
- High level of professionalism and accountability when handling client information.
