Your Purpose as Automotive Service Manager:

Oversee the daily operations of the automotive service department, ensuring efficient workflow, cost control, and exceptional customer satisfaction. Responsible for building and maintaining a loyal customer base, leading and developing service team members, maintaining accurate service records, and achieving department sales and profitability goals while fostering positive employee relations.


In this role:

  • Lead, hire, and supervise service department personnel, monitoring performance and supporting a high standard of guest care and service quality.
  • Establish departmental goals, including annual operating budgets and marketing initiatives to drive new and repeat service business.
  • Train and develop team members on dealership policies, procedures, and systems while encouraging ongoing technical training for technicians.
  • Maintain current knowledge of manufacturer warranty policies and procedures, serving as a liaison with factory representatives when needed.
  • Address guest concerns promptly to maintain strong Customer Service Index (CSI) performance and uphold dealership service standards.
  • Monitor and analyze departmental financial performance, reviewing financial statements and warranty receivables with leadership to support profitability and growth.
  • Implement and reinforce dealership systems, processes, and operational improvements across the service team.
  • Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations impacting service operations, including OSHA and hazardous waste requirements.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and professional service department environment, including guest-facing areas.
  • Communicate expectations clearly, review employee pay plans, and lead regular team meetings to discuss performance, goals, and operational updates.
  • Serve as a positive role model by demonstrating professionalism, accountability, and commitment to the team, guests, and dealership.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by the Fixed Operations Director or General Manager.
Requirements

Basic Qualifications:

  • Must be at least 18 years of age and have a valid driver’s license to operate a motor vehicle
  • Previous Service Manager experience strongly preferred
  • Audi experience preferred
