The  Vice President (VP) of Engineering leads and manages an organization's software development, focusing on strategy, execution, and people to align technology with business goals, overseeing large teams, driving innovation, ensuring quality, and managing budgets, Key responsibilities include setting technical direction, mentoring engineering leaders, scaling teams, fostering a strong engineering culture, managing cross-functional collaboration, and delivering complex, high-quality software products. 

Core Responsibilities:

• Strategic Leadership: Develop and execute technology strategy, define roadmaps, and align engineering efforts with overall business objectives.
• Team & Talent Management: Recruit, hire, mentor, and develop engineering leaders and teams, fostering a high-performing, inclusive culture.
• Execution & Delivery: Oversee the planning, design, and delivery of software, ensuring scalability, quality, security, and adherence to best practices (like Agile).
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with product, business, and executive teams to translate business needs into technical solutions.
• Innovation & Excellence: Champion technical excellence, drive innovation, and ensure the platform leverages emerging technologies. 

Key Skills & Experience:

· 10+ years enterprise software development experience

· BS/MS in Computer Science or Engineering

· SaaS experience

· Agile S/W development

· Microservices

· Cloud services (AWS, GCP, Azure)

· Languages span from Golang, C++ and Java in the on premises components to Node, and React in the cloud.

· Extensive experience in engineering leadership, managing large, complex teams, and other managers.

· Strong technical background in software architecture, system design, and relevant engineering disciplines.

· Proven track record of scaling teams, managing budgets, and delivering successful, complex products.

· Excellent communication, business acumen, and ability to influence stakeholders.
