Diagnostic Medical Sonography (DMS) Adult Echo - Full-Time Instructor/Faculty Description


South College invites applications for the position of Full-Time Faculty Diagnostic Medical Sonography at the South College Marietta campus. We are searching for a team-oriented individual with excellent communication and organization skills.


Responsibilities

  • Provide instruction for DMS courses, student evaluation, and maintain student records.
  • Assist with growing and developing additional clinical sites for DMS program.
  • Ensuring students can achieve competencies.
  • Facilitate operational activities related to quality patient care and overall department function.
  • Uphold high standards of teaching, scholarship, and service.
  • Maintain strong relationships with clinical affiliates and the community at large.
  • Additional responsibilities as assigned by the Program Director.
Requirements

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in Sonography or related field

Certification

Required

  • ARDMS or ARRT Certification in Sonography in good standing
  • ARDMS certification in Adult Echo

Preferred

  • ARDMS certification in AB, OB/GYN, BR and RVT

Experience

Required

  • Minimum of two (2) years of professional experience in the discipline

Preferred

  • Minimum of one (1) year of academic appointment in a JRC-DMS accredited program with teaching responsibilities
  • Proficient in clinical supervision and evaluation, instruction, curriculum development and academic advising
  • Previous experience with an online learning platform (e.g., Canvas, Blackboard).
