Paint Prep Technician


Join our dynamic, fast-paced and growing automotive repair shop as an experienced Paint Technician. We are seeking a skilled professional who is passionate about vehicle preparation and painting, with a focus on quality and efficiency. Key Responsibilities:

- Sand and prep vehicles for painting, ensuring surfaces are smooth and ready for primer and paint application

- Tape and bag vehicles to protect areas not being painted

- Prepare and prime vehicles as part of the painting process

- Work on large vehicles, demonstrating the ability to handle diverse and challenging projects

- Collaborate with team members to meet production deadlines in a fast-paced environment

- Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to safety standards


Skills and Qualifications:

- Minimum of 1+ year of experience in vehicle prep, taping, bagging, and priming

- Ability to work on large vehicles with precision and attention to detail

- Previous painting experience is a plus but not required

- Strong work ethic and ability to work efficiently under pressure

- Flexibility to work extra hours as needed

- Ambition to develop into a painter role is preferred

- Excellent communication skills and team-oriented attitude

Requirements

Minimum of 1+ year experience, this is not an entry level position.

Ability to work on larger vehicles such as F550's, utility bodies & work on ladders and similar as needed.

Ability to prep and prime vehicles with minimal direction or teaching. Primer time mandatory.

Ambition to become a painter is a plus, as you will have the opportunity as we expand & grow.

Paint experience is not required but is a plus. You will gain additional experience through gun & booth time.

Ability to work in a fast-paced environment under deadlines.

Must be a team player and willing to learn from fellow professionals/teammates.


Salary Description
Negotiable, based on experience, Hourly/Flat rate
