Instructor of Chinese Language

University High School is seeking a part-time instructor of Mandarin to teach Chinese III and Chinese VI the following days and times:

  • Chinese III: Tue 8:45-10:00 am, Wed. 2:00-3:00, Fri 10:45-11:45
  • Chinese VI: 1:15-2:30, Thur 10:55-11:55, Fri 12:35-1:35

Candidates should be skilled in designing diverse teaching activities that integrate cultural and social themes. They should exhibit flexibility in employing various instructional methods to enhance students' language proficiency and cross-cultural understanding. Additionally, they must demonstrate familiarity with Chinese literature, history, and contemporary social trends. 

We will be hiring a permanent Mandarin teacher for 26-27. This person may be considered for that role.


Job Type: Part-time (.4 FTE) - Starting Immediately

Salary range is Step 1 $83,995 to Step 41 $162,757 and is based on years of relevant experience.
