The Kroll Konstruction Summer Internship Program gives students hands-on experience working on active commercial construction projects. As a Superintendent Intern, you will work alongside superintendents, project managers, and field teams to support job-site coordination and daily construction activities. Through real project involvement, interns gain insight into how construction projects move from planning through completion while developing the practical skills needed for a career in field leadership and construction management. Internship Overview


The Superintendent Internship is designed to provide hands-on exposure to job-site management and daily construction operations.


Interns will work closely with:

  • Field Operations
  • Project Management
  • Estimating
  • Project Coordination

Through involvement in active construction projects, interns will gain insight into how teams collaborate to move projects from planning through construction and completion.

Requirements

Responsibilities

  • Assist superintendents with daily job-site coordination and construction activities
  • Participate in job-site walks to observe construction progress and field operations
  • Support documentation including daily reports, safety documentation, and field logs
  • Assist with tracking project milestones and construction progress
  • Observe subcontractor coordination and scheduling processes
  • Review drawings and construction documents to better understand field activities
  • Assist with job-site organization and coordination between field and project teams
  • Participate in project meetings and safety meetings
  • Support the field team with documentation and reporting needs
  • Present a summary of your internship experience at the conclusion of the program

Qualifications

  • Currently pursuing a degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Architecture, or a related field
  • Interest in construction field operations and project delivery
  • Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team environment
  • Willingness to learn in a fast-paced job-site environment
  • Familiarity with construction drawings and basic construction practices is a plus
  • Comfortable working both outdoors and in active construction environments
