Summary


We are seeking a Manager of Member Acquisition to present the Greater Houston Partnership’s benefits to individuals and decision makers from member and non-member organizations. The Manager of Member Acquisition will assist in engaging the business community in the Partnership’s mission to be the best place in the world to do business, live, and work. 


Primary Duties and Responsibilities


The following responsibilities are essential to job performance:

  • Develop and manage a sales pipeline resulting in 100 and $250,000 in new member acquisitions per campaign. 
  • Develop sales and marketing strategies to attract companies to join the Partnership. 
  • Represent the Partnership at corporate and community events. 
  • Participate directly in 3 to 5 weekly strategic meetings related to member acquisition. 
  • Work across departments and with volunteer and member groups to develop a strong referral engine. 
  • Maintain accurate records of interactions with prospects throughout the sales cycle.      
  • Generate leads through research, outreach to prospective clients, or networking at events and programs. 
  • Attend department/division meetings, provide updates, participate in strategy sessions, and report as requested. 
  • Other duties as assigned.

  • Hands-on experience configuring, enhancing, and supporting CRM and enterprise business systems. (Salesforce experience strongly preferred; familiarity with events systems, marketing platforms, web technologies, and collaboration tools strongly valued.)

Education Requirements

  • Associates degree is required. Bachelor’s degree is preferred. 

Required Experience

  • 2-3 years’ experience in sales or program management. 
  • Adaptability and a willingness to learn.
